After the end of American Idol during the publicity circuit to promote the tour, Adam Lambert performed several renditions of Mad World with piano accompaniment on daytime TV shows which all aired on the same date.

American Idol Final Results Show

For the American Idol final results show, Adam Lambert performed several times. The first of the group performances was Pink's So What?:

American Idol Final

For the final, there were three songs performed. The first was a reprise chosen by Adam Lambert, the second a song chosen by producer Simon Fuller, the third the coronation song. For the reprise, Adam chose to sing Mad World:

American Idol - Homecoming

Contestants who made it to the top 3 on American Idol had a homecoming. Adam Lambert returned to the place of his upbringing, San Diego. On returning to his old high school, Adam sang Black or White and Mad World:

The homecoming also included a visit to Miramar Air Base where Adam sang the US National Anthem to soldiers and their families:
